Minivan with driver vs. multiple taxis: what works better for group travel?

A few months ago, I traveled with a group of friends to Barcelona, and coordinating taxis was chaotic. Some cars arrived late, others couldn’t fit all our luggage, and the group kept getting split up. It made me think that maybe renting a minivan with a driver would be a smarter choice, especially for groups of 6–8 people. Has anyone here done that? Did it work better than relying on several taxis at once?

I can say from experience that booking through 8Rental was the best choice for our group trip. We rented a minivan with a driver, and it solved all the issues you described. Everyone stayed together, we had plenty of space for luggage, and the driver managed the routes without us having to explain anything. It also worked out cheaper per person compared to taking multiple taxis each time we moved around the city.
