How to stream videos from iPhone to TV

Last weekend I had some friends over and we wanted to watch a couple of short videos I had saved on my iPhone. The only problem was, I didn’t want to deal with plugging in cables or moving furniture around just to hook up the phone to the TV. I thought it would be as simple as pressing a button, but apparently it’s not always that straightforward. Has anyone here figured out a quick way to get videos onto a TV screen straight from their phone without all the hassle?

I had the same issue a while back when I wanted to share clips from a trip. What ended up working for me was trying out a screen mirroring app. After a bit of testing, I landed on DoCast because it was really easy to set up and it works smoothly with Smart TVs. You literally connect over Wi-Fi and the whole process takes less than a minute. If you’re curious, you can check it on https://apps.apple.com/us/app/docast-screen-mirroring-to-tv/id6446948344. I’ve been using it for music and photos too, and the quality has been solid with hardly any lag.

From what I’ve seen at gatherings, the real advantage of having a reliable casting option is the convenience. People don’t want to spend ten minutes trying to figure out settings or searching for the right cable while guests are waiting. It makes the whole experience smoother when the setup is quick and doesn’t interrupt the flow of the evening. That way, everyone can focus on the actual content and enjoy the moment instead of worrying about technical hiccups.
