Hello Everyone,

I have an Hitachi, with model HTS543225L9A300.
When connected with PC3000, its clicks 6 times and get shows Ready, but when I tried to auto ID it, I get ABR errors. Then I tried to manually ID the drive but couldn't get to identify the Family it belongs to.

How can Identify the Family of drive or is there a way I can get to Image this kind of drive ?

Im also tried removing the PCB, it gets ready but couldnt ID it, it gives ABR erros.
Could this be firmware corrupt ??

it can be
1) translator issue
2) important modules damaged
3) SA damaged
4) preamp
5) bad heads

if it's one of the first 3 you can try

what do you mean by Identify the family ?

start the utility select the right drive ...

Yes, it's in the custom families drop down box. Just have to find the right one. I know I've spent plenty of time in that box trying to find the right one and looking right over it a half dozen times before finding it.
