My grandmother has always been super independent, and she still wants to do things her own way around the house. Lately though, I’ve noticed it’s getting harder for her to manage cooking and moving around safely. I don’t want to take away her independence, but I also worry about her falling or getting too tired. I’ve been trying to balance helping her without making her feel like she’s losing control. For those of you who have older relatives, what’s worked best to support them while letting them still feel in charge of their life?
