Just to be clear. Are you doing this secure erase using a utility from Seagate, or using some method in PC-3000?

I would assume you're using Seatools.

The secure erase is made using the "seatools"?
PC3K is a different software tool?
And if the donor hdd it's the same mode, same pcb, and same FW, it should work?
