Same here in Germany now (started a few weeks ago) but some "big" companies are left in top position with ads. I hope google will clean this up (also some known scam ads are shown). But atm I am also happy with this change as these ads where a pip-off for smaller shops.

We tell our clients that we recover what is possible but that media damage or bad blocks will lead to a data loss of some kind. If damage is severe we tell the client that we might not get a great result.

Might be these drives came from a batch that should be sold in countries that have laws prohibiting data encryption but reached the international market instead. There is also a "gray market" where drives with limited warranty / no warranty / OEM are sold and so on. We also see these not...

I had some of them here for recovery, clients messed with their RAID-0 config and did a quick format. I think the default config with these drives is RAID-0 for video editing :o But most of the data was recovered :mrgreen:
