This execution method is very smart, but will have flaws. It's interesting that they compress the file before crypting it, making the encryption faster. However te fact that they have a WWW site ofering decryption on 2 files, that can serve to find at least inital paterns. I've also seen how...

    Forensics Section

Average joe will find out a usb drive on the floor, pick it up and insert it on his computer. This was massive and is still the best method for BadUSB to still work even though its primitive work to replace Phison 2251-03 to a custom firmware and make the usb be recognized as a keyboard. Forensics Section

Nowadays keeping the data safe isn't something average joe will be able to do. I'm not talking about backing up to a NAS or to a Cloud. I'm talking about not allowing 3rd parties to access your data. For instance, sqlinjection. Everyone knows that's no state of the art breach, but there are...

    Forensics Section

Data Recovery IMHO walks hand to hand with forensics. Perhaps we could create a section dedicated for the use of XWAYS and other forensics software. Well, as a beginner myself, MRT even though they have no official documentation, you can find some things scattered around the web. MRT for the price you pay is a good tool.
