If the problems are the TVS, you can run the drive without them. However, if you want to keep the drive working on the client, I suggest you to replace them, since they are a barrier to avoid that a power surge don't go scorch the rest of the HDD.

Hey

I have this MHV2080BH here that is password protected. I can't remember ever getting one here ti remove the password :mrgreen:
I tried to follow PC3K manual on how to connect terminal and remove it, but it does nothing...
Does it take much time or is it immediate?

Even with one bad head, doing a headmap to 00 or 11 it could eventually access SA and data. Of course it will be partial..
