For what I know (at least my DDI3 can't), DRE can only select the files/folders to image and then get the drive back to me imaged. Can't work with R-Studio if you don't have the network add-on.

Full erase method

Hey Guys

One question: what do you guys use to full erase a drive?
I use HDD Low Level format, but it takes several hours to erase a 2TB drive....
Any faster solution?

You also have a GUI version for DDRescue.
I believe that many guys don't use it because of terminal commands, etc.
So here it is the way to install the GUI.
