Cleaning HDD Heads & Platters

https://www.amazon.com/Camera-Sensor-Cleaning-Swab-DDR15/dp/B00K8MTPEW/ I just ordered this. Even the cleaner claims to be "made from ultrapure water, clean sensors without leaving streaks or blemishes" so it might be safe to use that on platters. I know I've heard of some people using pur...

500 GB Maxtor

Imaging or cloning the drives is a great first start. That way you'll be safely working with a copy and you'll know if either has a hardware issue. Programs such as R-Studio or Recovery Explorer can rebuild the RAID. It will just require some manual guessing to find the correct settings. It must hav...

Moments 5400.6 Wyatt, heads topography

Maybe try a 320Gb and just hope that it has all of the heads. Something like this might work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Seagate-ST9320325AS-P-N-9HH13E-031-F-W-0003DEM1-WU-5VE-320GB/172339564623?hash=item28203d104f:g:pksAAOSw~RVZ~Afr:sc:USPSPriority!02920!US!-1 I'd just check with them about the head ...

Yeah, pay more attention to the date. Your donors are all 2010 forward. Go back and get a late 2008 or early 2009 model.

Seagate Preamp Pulled From ROM (Requests)
