Hello. I have a recovery job with about 10GB of photos and movies that are corrupt / damage.

Is there a program that can fix this without reduce the image size? or does i have to do it in HEX?

Dead Maxtor Diamond plus 9 PCB

15573 If the problems are the TVS, you can run the drive without them. However, if you want to keep the drive working on the client, I suggest you to replace them, since they are a barrier to avoid that a power surge don't go scorch the rest of the HDD. Dead Maxtor Diamond plus 9 PCB

Hello
I work with a Maxtor Diamond plus 9 which I found to have a bad PCB shorted. What I assume is that the CR200 (TVS?) Is dead.

What happens if I remove it? do I need to replace it? can i run the hard drive without it?

qwstion about Westen digital platter

15507 The quality of your torx drivers can make a lot of difference in the small sizes. I've found many cheap sets to be incorrectly sized and can cause a lot of damage. This is a set I picked up recently that I really like and seems to be great quality: https://www.amazon.com/iFixit-IF145-299-4-Dr...
