Hello everyone.

i have a problem that i don't understand.
i do head swap on st8000, it's a usual head swap and did it like i always do.
i use head swap tools not traditional way using straw, and open it in laminar horizontal hood
the donor is 98% match the different just Date [patient 19/9/2020 - Donor 22/7/2020] and Serial Number(obviously)
the swap seams to be successful, no damage to the head or whatever, and the patient platter is good no scratch or whatever physical,
but when i connect it with MRT Ultra and power it up, its making sound i never heard before, it's beeping but not head stuck beep, it' more like alternating beep different beep sound, i even double confirm it by open in back and confirm the head is not stuck, it's at the normal parking position. i even swap the head back to the donor and power the donor up, and the donor power up and can be use normally.
can anyone please help me on this, i'm really scratching my head here.

thank you very much

Can you hear if the platters are actually spinning up? Maybe the motor spindle is seized...

Hi Jared,
The platters is spinning i can hear it,
and the motor can spin freely,
the head also can move in and move out of the parking freely.
Under microscope the r/w head look fine don't see any platter dust, damage or anything.
i'll make a video in a short while and show you.
thank you Jared :)

It would also help to see what's coming out on the terminal during start-up.

I was using that to point to the above quote. It's also often used on forums as an arrow pointing up.
