Hi,

The above drive gives a half second beep every two seconds and does not spin up.
I have tried with another new PCB but it beeps just like the original one.
What do you suggest needs to be done when getting these symptoms?

The read/write heads are stuck to the platters. It's pretty common on this model. It needs to be opened inside an ISO rated clean room and have the heads unstuck very carefully. Right now, it might be a fairly inexpensive recovery as the heads may still be good. I know we charge a flat $450 for such cases if the heads survived.

If you go the DIY route and try to unstick them yourself, and it fails, expect to pay WAY MORE for recovery.
