Seagate - Error in first Header disc sector

Mon May 20, 2019 1:46 pm

I'm using the DfS Recovery Tool Kit and I'm hoping to get some help and advice.
The drive spins up, no clicking, and seems to continues to spin. But it is not recognized by the computer.

I was able to record the Bootup Message, which is pasted below.
Any info regarding how to repair is appreciated. Or let me know if more info is needed.
Thanks

More info - even though I was able to capture the boot message, I can't get the Terminal in that program to show up from the drive, so it's not displaying info. Does that mean the firmware sectors on the disk can't be read? I've already tried swapping out the PCB board with another (same version)

First you have to stop the "add to pending" process and after that you will have terminal access.

Seems like that command does not apply to my drive, which is "F3 Barracuda" type? It is an ST1000DM003
Maybe what I need to do is "short" the Read Channel pins on the board to get to the Terminal?

Or the other option I have within the software is this:
"Disable Bad Sector Reallocation & Background Activities" - would that help? There is a button to set it back to "Defaults", so I don't think there is any harm in trying this , but please correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks!

Yes, that must be the option that you must apply and see if you can get in terminal after that.
