I have a WD3200 with clicking noise, and made a head swap with a very good donor found on ebay.
But I did something dumb...I swapped U12 on the PCBs too. Now the PCB with original U12 does nothing when powered on. So I likely killed the original ROM with too much heat when soldering....
The PCB with donor U12 spins up, and after a few minutes I can even see the partitions in Windows. But Data Extraction doesnt work. So Calibration / Microjog data seems slightly off in donor ROM.
How can I rebuild ROM?
I only have access to free tools like WDR or maybe paid WDMarvel....
Could someone give me some hints?
