New "cheaper" tools than HDDSurgery

Can anyone explain how that "platter extractor" is supposed to grab the platter when it's on the spindle? That thing would have to be thinner than a human hair to even have a chance of squeezing through that microscopic gap.

Oh, so they'll basically just mail you a tool that barely works and then drop support for it when people start complaining. Lol.

HDDheadtools is from DFL.

But maybe it's a chinese manufacturer that sells to all of them.

Yes, HDDheadtools is a DFL website but the images say Recovery R Us which appears to belong to SD.
