Hi Guys

Need a way to connect my 12 SATA clones of an SAS RAID job to my machine for config, any suggestion on a stable card for the job ?

I would always just clone to image files on a couple large size drives, or on my own RAID, so I've never had to deal with connecting so many drives.

I did think of making some images on my RAID stack and then mounting them, but it aint got enough capacity to handle this mutha so thought I'd do bare metal and wire them all up

My sata's are all controlled via intel chipset and apparently intel doesn't allow port multiplying, there goes that idea.

I did think of using an older 8-port RAID card as a 'sata pass through' but it won't do it without initialising the drives  there goes that idea too.

I've looked at a few cards that have a few bad reviews for dropping drives and BSOD nightmares, so ended up giving up on them.

I might have to do a bit of everything, as many sata as I can plug in, a few as mounted images and some as USB 3...
