Yes. I did try several adapters and later found out the vendor uses proprietary SAS commands which have not been reversed. I'm unaware of anyone getting access to these drives outside of the server for which they are married to.

I'm in SAS hell with this model drive. Doing a raid 5 recovery where two of these HPE SAS EG000600JWJNH drives had heads stuck to the platters. Server had a power outage. Not impressed with this model which appears to have custom firmware which will only talk to their hardware. Deepspar and ACE...

haven't had any success with it yet - this drive hasn't talked to anyone from what i know - still a mystery - anyone who has i'd love to hear from them

Ace Labs still says they don't have a utility for this family of drives yet - was hoping maybe someone here might know more or have another way

Yes. They dont have a way to work with this drive yet. I guess the only option is to wait for the utilities to catch up to the technology
