This is something I find a bit odd. Had a RAID 0 come in (no Idea what controller) for recovery. Was a simple case, but oddly the MBR wasn't located at sector 0, it was moved over to sector 2. All I had to do was copy the sector and paste it into sector 0 (which was all zeros) on my clone and it just took a few seconds to find the settings. Has anyone else seen this happen before? I'm wondering if it's something the controller does to protect the MBR from accidents if the drive is removed.
