Hitachi Utilities To Work With Toshiba 3.5" Drives

I'm creating this sticky to track which utility is able to work with which Toshiba branded drives, since the model numbers don't match the utility names.

Here's what I've collected so far:

DT01ABA300 = 7210DLE6 ARM Utility
DT01ACA300 = 7210DLE6 ARM Utility
DT01ACA100 = 7210DLE6 ARM Utility
DT01ACA050 = 7210DLE6 ARM Utility
DT01ACA200 = 7210DLE6 ARM Utility

Interestingly you often need to attempt loading using the wrong family first, then re-try using the correct one. As this video demonstrates:

DT01ACA050 = ditto
DT01ACA100 = ditto
as a matter of fact I think DT01ACAxxx = 7210DLE6

You're most likely right. I'm just trying to get more confirmation on which ones are definitely which ones.

That might be a native Toshiba drive, not a rebranded HGST.

Can we see a picture of the PCB? I've yet to actually see one of this model.

Edit: I take that back. Looks like there are DT01ACA200 drives that share that same HDD code. So Hitachi family 7210DLE6 should work with it.

Confirming that

Model : TOSHIBA DT01ACA050
Serial : 3375YGSPS
Firmware : MS1OA750
Capacity : 500 Gb (976 773 168)

works as 7210DLE6

even gets tech key corrrect.

Be careful in guessing that nvram edit is correct,
while guessing compatible models I found some that seemed to work
loads modules table
structure test works
but nvram edit was wrong,
it interpretted head map as 0 0 but should have been 0 1
