Data recovery from a GPS

Hello, I am new to this forum, I am an electronics technician and my problem is beyond my skills, a friend brought me a garmin GPS, model: GPSmap 76CSx he had the unfortunate idea of connecting his data cable to a charger and the smoke came out of the device, after checking, the terminals of the capacitor that goes to the microprossessor are short-circuited which suggests that the prossessor is burnt, I think there are two solutions left, the first is to remove the memory and put it back in another gps of the same model, or cover the data with a special tool, but I am listening to your advice in order to find a solution because the data is very important, thank you

Maybe it's possible to do a recovery of the NAND.
The pictures you posted are not visible though, no access to them.

Yeah that should be the one.
Attached is the datasheet.
You need a bga56 reader.

You need a flash tool: Flash Extractor, PC3000 Flash, VNR...
Or you can try to outsource it...
