Crashed mdadm raid 5

so i know that there are a lot of jpeg files on that raid, if i know how such a file is made up i could find the wright sequence a lot faster.
I have some file that where present on the server on my regular desktop would that be anykind of help.?

Yes and no. There's no automated way to do it, but if you can find where a large batch of jpgs are stored it can often be helpful to figure out the array.

For example, by recovering a bunch of files, then adjusting stripe size and recovering them again, see if it looks better or worse. If they all look worse, then try adjusting the stripe size the opposite way. Then, when you find images that open fully and which are larger than the stripe size, check what disks the image spans across to see pairings of drives that clearly follow each other in the rotation.
