Apple PCIE SSD recovery

Trying to get this apple PCIE SSD alive again. I've read controller bugs are common with this one. I suspect I have a similar issue as this guy:

Sounds like he is using PC-3000 judging by his terms.
Can anyone help a newbie like me out here? What do I short to get this thing into "technological mode" as he describes? I"m guessing his proprietary adapter is the OWC envoy? Or how to upload the new controller code without PC-3000? Any freeware out there for linux or windows?

Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

Up to now, there is no professional hardware solution that can handle PCIe SSDs. If you want to send it out to my lab, we'd be happy to see what we can do. But, the odds are, the controller has gone stupid and it is now past the point of return.

You might try booting the Mac to external media, get to terminal, and see if the drive is recognized. Then dd it. I've imaged several of these this way that aren't recognized on the adapter.
