It looks like they are now selling 512Gb SD cards.... :eek:

I'm seriously going to have to revisit my pricing for logical recoveries from flash media with these sizes. Just thinking about how many of these chips could fit within the size of a 2.5" form factor is making me think that SSDs are about to get a whole lot bigger fast.

Yes they are around. fortunately the biggest I've had is still 64GB, but was still a PITA as My laptop I do recoveries on didn't have the free space.

And it wont be long before single NAND chips are 1TB, so I have no idea how the recovery machines are going to cope.. but I am also worried about how the DR software/RAM usage when analysing is going to fare.

Yes, I travel so much I do recovery work whenever I can get the chance. Remember I do flash, so don't need to lug around HDD tools ;-)

soldering station + solder, flux Etc.
nand reader
Etc. Etc

no I don't always, but sometimes :)

Once chip is dumped, just laptop and readers for software activation
